It’s a 2006. That’s 18 years old. 44,172 miles is 2454 a year so that breaks down to 204.5 miles a month.
This may be a good buy for a department that needs a newer quint or a spare. Not sure if the price is good or not.

It’s a 2006 so mileage from that age but the calls listed were from 2018

That rig has a lot of miles and engine hours for only 151 runs. They must have done a lot of training or something.

Pulling from the annual reports, the quint has only ran 151 calls since 2018. They do have a decent number of houses in the Glen Ellyn countryside area that don’t have hydrants, so a tender type vehicle wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I do not think so Mike C. I read in some of their recent Board of Trustees meeting minutes, they don’t seem have any practical purpose for another ladder or quint, especially with all the other surrounding towns having aerial apparatus. I read either a mini-pumper or a some type of a tender.. It went on to say that they still want to have three suppression companies, so we will see what happens.

What’s the plan moving forward? Is Glenside getting a new ladder?

Just my .2 cents worth but I always thought any vehicle in the rain or post rain looks better. Nice looking older rig.
