Daniel, when Naperville’s Engine 2 was oos in 2022, they gave it a new paint job and I think that was all.

The RAT will become a spare. The old old engine 52 which is dedicated to deceased members mark Amore and Jim carney isn’t going anywhere. From what I was told the RAT was ok. There were only 2 people assigned to engine 53’s house. The worst thing about the RAT was the ground ladder selection.

Naperville has 4 Spartan engines, 3 of which are still frontline.
Engine 6 and Squad 8 have 2008s, and the third 2008 was a spare that was being used by Engine 1. Engine 6 is one of the slowest engines in the department and the current engine they’re using is a hand-me-down from Engine 3. Not sure if the 2024 Enforcer with go to them or someone else.
Engine 2 has the 2010 that I believe got refurbished in 2022. Not sure the exact details of it but it was OOS for quite a few months and had new decals on it when it came back.

Ok I guess Lincolnshire will be keeping an all Pierce fleet. More than likely they are going to get rid of the HME after the new engine for 52 is placed in service. I guess the RAT did not work out for them since the truck is now assigned to 53. I am guessing the Naperville squad will replace Squad 8. I know Engine 1 just received a new rig. I wonder what other Naperville unit will receive the next new engine? I think Engine 2 is the only one left with a Spartan engine. I believe they have the 2010 which use to be engine 4 before they received the 2018 Pierce.
