The Braidwood FPD begins staffing our station tomorrow 10/16/23 @ 6am. Wow, take a look at the work the Braidwood fire fighters, administration, and volunteers completed in a very short amount of time to return the station to operational status after assuming responsibility to cover our district. Fresh paint throughout the interior and garage doors, full IT infrastructure refresh including new data closet, complete deep cleaning and sanitization, and helping us inventory the remaining assets and prepare surplus assets for sale. We know the past 5 months has been tense and tumultuous and we are ready to move forward with our new partner and provide a 24/7 staffed ALS transport ambulance to our community for the first time in Custer FPD history!
