I have the same question, why would they get rid of a relative compact brush fire truck/mini pumper when it is in good shape and it seems to be the type of fire apparatus that they would be able to make use of? The Long Grove fire protection district has alot or rural and semi rural areas which would be prone to brush fires and a small vehicle such as a mini pumper. Long Grove is an oddly shaped area that goes pretty deep into Lake County and so there is a good part of their area that they need to rely on Automatic aide from other fire departments and fire protection districts just to have a timely response and adequate coverage. Their one fire station is location near their historic village but because they have alot of area to cover the north end of Long Grove is Covered by the Vernon Township fire department even other parts of the district need help forom adjoining fire departments such as the Lake Zurich , Mundelein, Buffalo Grove, Palatine and Arlington Heights plus Lincolnshire as well. That is good because the district is very spead out however while their apparatus seems to be good shape they really don’t have that much of an Inventory. Their Pumper/Squad 55 which is their primary apparatus looks pretty sharp and I assume it runs okay and they do maintain 2 tankers and an Ambulance but on structure fire in the village on the south end of the District they rely in Buffalo Grove for Truck coverage which I know that they usually get Buffalo Groves Quint 27 on struct fires and they also rely on LincolnShires Heavy Rescue 51 for Technical Rescue service which is fine however a small mini pumper seem to be ideal for them and they end up selling it off. I appears that they might be deparate for cash. They used to also maintain an E/One Quint which they also sold off probably about 8 to 10 years ago which considering that they don’t usually don’t get many structure fires was orobably okay just as long Buffalo Groves Quint 27 or Tower Ladder 25 is available when they need them.

Mitch, those photos were taken at Brindlee’s main facility in Alabama. They have several photos of the complex on their website, and the bottom one you can even see one of their buildings in the background.

Brindlee is only a broker for some deals. A snow plow is a good idea especially in Wisconsin. They had 20+ in last week near Wausau

Austin I don’t believe it actually went to Brindlee, probably just listed thru them. We looked at some used trucks brokered thru them and they were still located locally in Illinois and Missouri.

Why would they buy a fire apparatus to plow snow?

I’m sure this will serve Bennett well. Low miles, and it looks like it is in great shape. Weird how it went from Long Grove, to Brindlee, then to Wisconsin. Too bad they could have cut out the middle man.
