I don’t know anything about that area either. To me, it sounds like something similar to the West Suburban Fire Alliance with the sharing of resources.

I’ve heard Tosa being dispatched well beyond east of 27th street. Time well tell how this arrangement lasts.

So MFD will be placing Engine 28 back in service?
I assume there is a restriction as to how far east Tosa Engine 51 will go out of MFD 35’s station. Otherwise they would be first due at Miller Park (your lucky I didn’t call it county stadium), second or third engine for most of the west side, and could easily end up downtown on an extra alarm.
Tosa FD sure has a smooth way of telling their residents that Station 51 is now a single truck house. Like it’s a good thing!

Well if you look on a map, you can see how Wauwatosa and Milwaukee’s borders wind around each other like spaghetti. There are some areas of Tosa that are closer to Milwaukee fire stations than Tosa’s own. Milwaukee had Engine 25 that was rather close to Engine 35 which is where this Tosa rig will now operate out of. 25’s station closed in 2017 I think but it now houses the Milwaukee Fire Bell club vehicles. I would be a bit concerned for Wauwatosa as well but their station(and HQ) 1 houses several rigs including a med unit. So it does seem like a benefit to both departments. I would rather not see any stations have to close or units being shuffled but under the circumstances, this may not be the worst thing.

Not knowing anything about the area, doesn’t seem like a winner for the taxpayers of Wauwatosa.
