From Decatur Fire Department Facebook:
Old Boston Rescue 1 up and running for the DFD. It carries Technical Rescue/Haz-Mat and SCUBA equipment. Our firefighters did a great job cleaning it and installing the lettering and graphics. Total investment was less than $50,000. Should serve Decatur for the next 10 years.

Without the fold down steps, what’s it like climbing into this rig?

Dan, Decatur is a VERY busy fire dept. They have some very large manufacturing and processing facilities that are known for several call a year. Not to mention anything else that happens. It will get used.

Just 10 years ?
I’m sure it will sit in the station 99.9% of the time.
I would hope it last longer than that
