Hey if it does the job, who cares if it looks like a bread or UPS truck right?

This is the former Midway Mass casualty that was replaced by 8-8-16. This is not new this has been stationed at Engine 80 for a while now its purpose is to carry the “Shitters” as the lieutenant of engine 80 called it. Answering Andy no this is not staffed the 5-11 club is ran by volunteers. they are a support unit that provides canteen services to the Chicago police and Fire department. Their apparatus is stored at multiple stations around the city.

I had seen a similar truck when visiting Chicago at a fire station on Elston Ave about 2 years ago. What is the purpose of this truck? Does it have active fire fighters? Does it have a siren?
Thanks,
Andy
