Glenside must have a stringent replacement policy. They aren’t a high volume fire district so I can’t imagine any of the existing equipment having a lot of hours or miles on them. Good for them for keeping up though! So many area departments fall behind and it’s hard to catch up and the crews are stuck driving around ratty pieces of garbage.

Thanks Rob.
They don’t have enough room in their station to probably keep everything, so we’ll see.
I saw that it was recommended that the deputy chief be promoted, so I guess it is going to happen that way.

They also have 2013 Ferrara engine. So this would give them 3 engines and 1 quint. So to your point CMK I wonder what the plan is for them.
Also with retirement of the chief, the deputy chief was promoted to the chief position as they are advertising for the deputy chief position.

My question is–Are they going to replace the 2006 E-One Quint (Q58) with this new engine & only run engines? Or are they going to replace the current E59, the 2010 Ferrara, and sell it off?
Also, related & unrelated, I was just paging through their recent board meeting minutes–Their fire chief has announced his retirement. He’s been there a long time.

You were not wrong Crabby, love that they still have a Mack that appears to be in service.

I know this is a different Glenside but brace yourself for some great eye candy.
This one is in PA.

Sure it adds to the price but it just makes good sense and not have to kick one’s self later.
