Rescue 77: This is our Special Operations vehicle. It carries tools and equipment for high angle, trench, confined space and collapse rescue incidents. It is replacing Trailer 77.

Another gasoline engine powered rescue. You can see the V8 badge.
Hope it works out since that is a brand new V8 design and FORD has a bad track record lately when it comes to releasing new components. Time will tell.

The Pierce Rescue is up for sale, but I do believe they ordered a replacement.

The Pierce Arrow XT has been designated as Squad 77 for quite some time. Most heavy rescues and rescue engines in Dupage County are called squads. There are only a few apparatus designated as rescues and they are all special rescue vehicles (Haz-Mat, TRT, dive) or fly cars in the case of Elmhurst and Roselle.
