This from Danny Nelms:
This part of the order arriving now is only 4 of the trucks on the order.
Spy shot at fleet. Appears to have the number plate holder added to the door as of now.

Are those aluminum cabs, or stainless steel? And how are those things affixed? Glued? Drilled and riveted? Seems like an invitation for a problem that would possibly void a body or chassis warranty for a non-factory installed item

Nice idea, but why on Earth would they use a black colored number plate holder when the body is red? Fleet Services does realize they manufacture red plate holders, right? Looks pretty tacky.

I believe the rationale is they can mount these on the regular rigs and the spares. This way when they change out they can just move their plates to the spare. Why they just decided to do it with the trucks and not the engines or towers? It’s Chicago. Is this a good idea, probably not as they’ll get stolen or lost.

Awful, just awful

Why put the number on the front corner also if going with the changeable door panels? I know the answer likely isn’t here but just interesting.
