Division 22 is same way a little further south. Still alarm is the initial response; full still is now just RIT companies and, I believe, some change of quarters. If it’s a job, it’s going to a Box Alarm.

…And Oak Lawn is unique in the south suburbs, with 4 man engine companies.

Thanks for sharing your opinion on how the CFD would have handled this suburban fire differently, Bob. Like all Chicago incidents, they are flooded with manpower where 2% of the men are doing 98% of the work. Way over rated.

Bob, in Division 21, a Box Alarm is now the working fire response. A Still is the reported fire, then if it is a job, it is a Box Alarm for the RIT response and change companies, maybe a few more chiefs. However, given how the burbs staffing is vs 5 man city companies, it is virtually the same amount of FFs just more rigs needed to get the same amount.

Bob you’re not comparing apples to apples.

This would have been held to a still alarm in Chicago. Hold the squad.
