Excerpts from skokie.org:
At the village board meeting on Monday, December 16, 2019, interim Fire Chief Jeffrey Hoeflich was sworn in as the new Fire Chief.
Hoeflich joined the Skokie Fire Department in 1986. During this 33-year tenure with Skokie, Hoeflich has progressed through the ranks of lieutenant and captain. Prior to serving as interim chief, he was the Training Officer for the Skokie Fire Department for ten years and a battalion chief.

any idea what happened with that last chief? there was never an announcement he left. zero mention of it. just suddenly an interim chief. he was there less than a year.
normally there would have been an article about him stepping down, or something…

Congratulations Chief Hoeflich. It’s good to see they have appointed someone from within the fire department. The previous chief was hired from Louisville and I have no idea why that was done. He wasn’t chief in Skokie for very long. I know that Truck 18 is about due for a replacement and so the question is have the specs for a new truck been written yet? Are you still happy with Pierce?
