Any vehicle not just fire apparatus is going to have some rust problems in this region if you keep them long enough given how much salt they use around here. Some fair better than others and how they handle the warranty issues.

all fire truck manufactors have issues Waukesha wi has pierce and eone they both have rust issues it is not just pierce
and as for Skokie engine 18 just got a new frame but keep in mind it is a 15 or 16 year old pierce
