The 6.8L V10 is a decades long proven engine used in FORD trucks from everything from construction, delivery, airport or hotel shuttle buses, class A and class C motorhome chassis and non FORD full size school buses(BLUEBIRD VISION). So I would guess it’s as good as any gasoline engine out there. Given the cost and hassle with some diesels and the DEF, some don’t want all the crap that goes along with it if it’s not a higher volume of calls.

Anyone know how the gas motors are holding up. This is their 2nd or 3rd E450. Also anyone know what the cost difference between this and an F550 diesel which seems to be the popular thing now.

Does Crystal Lake normally buy the E-450 chassis? I’m curious to see the lights lit up in the grill. Can’t say I’ve seen that setup before.
