It does not have an SCBA compressor or fill station. It will carry almost all the equipment from Squad 1 it is replacing. It uses Genesis eForce extrication tools replacing the Amkus system. HazMat 5 has been at station 101 for sometime to look into re-configuring it to as HazMat and a support vehicle to Sqaud 101. Nearly all members assigned to Station 101 are both TRT and HazMat Techs. Modifications may include fabricating the compartments to hold fin-forms, lumber and other equipment for TRT that couldn’t make it to Squad 101. Squad 101 will have the capabilities for trench (minus lumber), rope rescue, extrication, con space, collapse, dive and the same engine capabilities as the other DG engines.

Nice example of a nice looking rig with very little chrome.
In other words, a tasteful blend.

Also, Haz-Mat 5 hasn’t been at station 5 for a while now. It’s been relocated to station 1.

I stopped by station 1 the other day and the Lt. Said that the current haz-mat rig is running as a support vehicle when they get the new squad.

The haz-mat rig at station 5 is not a support vehicle for this. The new rig carries no Haz mat equipment other than basic gear. Haz Mat5 is its own rig and set up to respond with station 5’s crew and the Pickup truck stationed there as a support vehicle for the other members as Haz-mat 5 has only two seats. This new rig also has a SCBA compressor and Fill station.

The need for scba bottle systems has diminished with the addition of the MABAS air units.
For me the cost would far out weight the amount of use with the other factors considered.

I figured but the old one had one so I wasn’t sure.

Also, I wonder if it has a SCBA Bottle fill system.

It is replacing both Engine 1 and Squad 1, so it will run as an engine and a rescue. The current Hazmat 5 will be running as a support vehicle with this if needed. They currently run Engine 1 and Squad 1 as a jump company.

Marked as a squad but will obviously run as an engine in town with the rescue capabilities

It looks a lot like Lemont
