This from Josh Boyajian:
I saw the new command van today for the city by North & Throop. I went online and found these pictures onLDV’s website of the new Command Van for 2-7-2.

The blue lights are a new addition to all new CFD Rigs. Basically in a nutshell, blue will be on all the new rigs. As much as I, and everyone else hates the new addition of the blue, it is here to stay…Unfortunately. #BringBackTheGreen

looks alot like 2-7-9.
aparently there is only 1 spare coms van as the old 2,7,8 was just sold and two of the fords sold back in 2013.

Looks nice, as to the blue lights – as far as I know this (unfortunately) doesn’t have anything to do with the rig being a command van, all the newer rigs including the E-One towers have them.

Most likely the one in the background is a snap on truck. If you’ve ever been to LDV they have hundreds of them there.

I wonder if the blue lights has something to do with it being a command vehicle? I notice that some of the newer battalions and field chiefs have blue light as well.

Only 2 doors to enter/exit the rig, maybe more interior working space. Any plans to get more?

Somewhere, there is a bakery waiting for their new…Just kidding but it does look like a bakery van outside.
Great for rehab too.
