How long has Pierce offered all aluminum tower ladders?

note that Bedford Park still runs a Snorkel and Evergreen Park also has a Snorkel so you have at least four elevating platforms in the Division plus pre-piped ladder pipes on the Oak Lawn, Burbank and North Palos aerials.
Then add in the second North Palos ladder, the EP ladder and the soon to be delivered Chicago Ridge quint, there is some aerial coverage in Division 21.

Good point Harry. I make no secret that the DASH CF is fast becoming my favorite PIERCE product. many years from now, the rigs without the grill may indeed be a rare sight at musters since most of them have the grill that serves no purpose other than cosmetic. No complaining but just fact.

looks nice i think they should have gone w/o the grill because it would make it look more like the old arrows and it is not something that has to be on the truck so therefor w/o it saves the dept mony

Thanks FFMP. I guess you never can believe your own eyes now. I always thought they just pulled the things out there unless there was a tornado warning. 🙂

If you read the local papers, the village officials in Chicago Ridge think their new fire chief is the best thing since sliced bread. One official said he was a genius at cost cutting.

I just think Oak Lawn and Chicago Ridge getting rid of their TRUCK companies was one of the stupidest things possible. OL and CR are very densely populated areas with multi story apartments and when they get a real problem or fire in one with people trapped on balconies, they are going to have to sit and wait for a real TRUCK company to show up, either from Evergreen Park, or North Palos. And to have to rely on surrounding towns for a truck is unreasonable.

Yes there is a bucket on Hinsdale’s truck.

I believe we said in a previous post that Central Stickney’s tower is also a jump company. You can go west to Tri-State… I think they are the next closest tower west (and not in the division). Is there a bucket on Hinsdale’s truck?
You could go south to division 22 and have towers from Blue Island, Calumet Park, and Robbins.

Every Pierce delivery photo is photoshopped onto the same background they change it up for the seasons.

Central Stickney also has a tower ladder. But since Chicago Ridge has since sold theirs. The Southern Portion of MABAS 21 is depleted with tower ladders, as the only 2 are on the northern edge.

I second that. Must have taken that picture several weeks ago since there’s snow in the background.

I think Bedford Park is the only one with a tower. In that division.

Sharp. Hope it serves them and neighboring depts well.
