Also – I believe the quality is fine for a blog photo. It is clear you took a fantastic photo. I’d go so far as to say it could make the Rosenbauer calendar…

The Rosenbauer bodies coming out of Minnesota are second to none, and this is a Minnesota body. We have an 05 and an 06, and aside from some minor issues the rigs have been solid. The bodies themselves are very well built, solid and could probably survive another life if remounted to a new chassis in another ten years.
If you see the large red R behind the front doors on the cabs, the body is from Minnesota. If the Rosenbauer name is on the rearmost side roll up doors, it’s a South Dakota body. They are entirely different animals.

Zach
I like your picture, I believe it is a excellent picture. Maybe it is the computer you are viewing it on. Cut the webmaster a little slack.

Zach, I highly doubt that the webmaster for the site would do anything to reduce the quality of your photo on purpose. Also knowing the webmaster personally he is a professional photographer who if anything would run the photo thru many of his high end filter programs to make the photo even better. I for one can say that your shot the rig with it’s lights on which at the time of day you shot it, which was dusk, that the glare from the lights will take away from the rig itself. This website is a very very time demanding hobby that he does free of charge to us so lets cut him a little slack.

OK – hopefully it’s an issue on my end.

Yeah it looks clear I can tell it’s South Elgin

I’m viewing the website on a MacBook Pro with retina display. On my end the graphics are so blurry it’s hard to make out what it says on the rig.

Zach – what are you viewing the posted pics on? Smarrphone, laptop or desktop? The posted pics look pretty good to me on my phone and laptop. Certainly no worse than some of the other pics posted. Maybe an email to the webmaster asking for an explanation would help?

I probably won’t submit photos in the future if they’re going to destroy the quality of the picture.
Fred and Joel – I had the shutter open for a second which gives that effect of the lights.

Length of the exposure could make it look like all lights lit at once….

Like it. ROSENBAUER seems to be serious about quality since they build their own chassis and a fairly newcomer at that.

Seems that all the lights on the rig flash together, simultaneASSly…?

Still a great pic! Nice to see a pic with the apparatus LIT-UP!

I sent the original high resolution file and the website really reduced the quality of my original photo.
