LaGrange Park is in MABAS Division 10. They have two stations covering 2.3 square miles. Station 1 is staffed and Station 2 unmanned. Staffing is provided by four contract medics and 46 paid-on-call personnel. The fleet consists of three engines, a truck, an ambulance, and a utility buggy.

Tom-
Literally everything you assumed is wrong.
Drew-
It’s not staffed by “callback” members in the sense that it’s usually used. The apparatus respond with Paid On Call members who respond for pretty much all runs except regular EMS runs. When one says “callback” it’s usually referring to calling in off-duty career members during a large incident, which is not the case here.

I ended up finding a pic of what looks to be the two engines you reference:

Two engines are housed there and staffed by callback personnel in the event of a fire or significant incident. LGPK’s newest engine actually runs out of this station.

With station 2 being unmanned, do they keep any equipment there? Does it ever go in service?
I suspect the purpose of this station was to serve that side of the tracks. I’m assuming it being unmanned is a result of economics.
Curious if anyone has more information.
