Bill Friedrich found the following links to the ‘in progress’ section of the Crimson Fire website which show the current production photos of the engine for the Chicago Fire Department Training Academy and the engine for O’Hare Airport (Crimson #211033-01).

I just looked at the photos again and yea the back door is not there. They may cut it in later or maybe they wont. Not sure.

Chris, They still put the door on the rear but on the 2000 GPM High-pressure rigs the compartment is not there, the slide out try for the 3 inch hose is on the officer’s side rear and go across the area where that compartment would be. I’m looking at the pictures of the rig for the airport and it seems they have a slide out tray also, so i wonder if that rig will be a 2000 GPM with 3 inch hose.
