Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire 8-21-13

This from Drew Gresik:

Took in the Still and Box at 2324 S. California. Fire was in a vacant 2.5-story frame, ops went defensive around the time these photos were taken. Tower 5 was moved into Sector 1 and Squad 1’s Snorkel was working with a master stream in Sector 2. Fire appeared to be in the attic/second floor. I didn’t see any flames but there was a lot of smoke. Here’s a few shots.

Schererville (IN) 4th Alarm fire

This was Mabas 207 Box Alarm at 208 E. Joliet Street Schererville. The initial response came in for an apartment fire at 3pm on Thursday May 30th. We had heavy storms come through and they are thinking it’s a lightning strike. It was quickly escalated to a Box Alarm. The initial full still brings Lake Hills Engine, Griffith Engine, and a Griffith Chief. St. John Engine on the change. On the box you get St. John Engine to the Scene Highland Engine and Dyer Tower Ladder. Munster’s truck was the change company on 1^st alarm. The pictures are from around 6 pm. The fire was at a 3^rd Alarm. It went to a 4^th alarm around 630.

Merrillville- Engine (2^nd Alarm), Lake Ridge- Engine(2^nd Alarm), Munster –Tower Ladder (2^nd Alarm, Cedar Lake-Engine (3^rd Alarm), Lake Dale- Engine (3^rd Alarm), Crown Point- Tower Ladder (3^rd Alarm), Lakes of the 4 Seasons Engine- (4^th Alarm), Lynwood- Engine(4^th Alarm), Hobart- Truck(4^th Alarm)
