Area E-ONE apparatus updates

From the Fire Service, Inc. Facebook page:

  • The Spring Valley Fire Department ordered an E-ONE Typhoon pumper
  • The Evergreen Park Fire Department ordered an E-ONE 100′ ladder truck and a Cyclone II pumper
  • Dyer Fire Department’s new stainless steel E-ONE eMAX pumper on a Typhoon chassis is in the final stages

  • Northfield FD’s E-ONE eMAX rescue pumper on the chassis line. This will be the first apparatus for Northfield FD with a new black over red paint scheme for the cab.

Schererville (IN) 4th Alarm fire

This from Matt Timmer:

This was Mabas 207 Box Alarm at 208 E. Joliet Street Schererville. The initial response came in for an apartment fire at 3pm on Thursday May 30th. We had heavy storms come through and they are thinking it’s a lightning strike. It was quickly escalated to a Box Alarm. The initial full still brings Lake Hills Engine, Griffith Engine, and a Griffith Chief. St. John Engine on the change. On the box you get St. John Engine to the Scene Highland Engine and Dyer Tower Ladder.  Munster’s truck was the change company on 1st alarm. The pictures are from around 6 pm. The fire was at a 3rd Alarm. It went to a 4th alarm around 630.

Depts that were there after the 1st alarm:

Merrillville- Engine (2nd Alarm), Lake Ridge- Engine(2nd Alarm), Munster –Tower Ladder (2nd Alarm, Cedar Lake-Engine (3rd Alarm), Lake Dale- Engine (3rd Alarm), Crown Point- Tower Ladder (3rd Alarm), Lakes of the 4 Seasons Engine- (4th Alarm), Lynwood- Engine(4th Alarm), Hobart- Truck(4th Alarm)
