The first 3-11 Alarm fire of the year occurred Monday night (1/8/18) as Chicago firefighters battled fire in a 150×800 mattress warehouse at 4041 S. Emerald. Elevated master streams from three tower ladders and Squad 1A surrounded the building.

I don’t care what anybody says I love those Hme Luvernes. They remind me of the old snub nose Mack’s of the 1980’s. Milwaukee had a ton of them. I was sad that by the time I got on the job they were gone. I still miss Mack fire trucks. I see Engine 102 wrecked the one they had in a crash. And got a hand me down. Take care. John

Seems like I’ve been seeing pics and videos of those ancient E-One towers forever…….Good seeing the new ones,though.
