This from Larry Shapiro:
Arlington Heights firefighters were notified of smoke coming from a house at 127 N. Evanston Avenue Thursday evening (3/17/16). First arriving units had smoke coming from the split-level house in a cul-de-sac, and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 working fire which brought additional Arlington Heights units plus a truck from Mount Prospect and an engine from Prospect Heights.
Companies were able to extinguish the attic fire by gaining access through a scuttle and had the fire out within 20 minutes.
