I was able to get a shot of both the new and old tower ladders at the academy right after they got switched over. The fellas on shift invited me back to the firehouse to get a quick shot of it in front of the station.

This from Brian Murphy:

I came across this old Mack C series engine in a storage yard near I-55 just outside of Plainfield. I have no idea where it came from, but a guess is it may have been from one of the steel mills in NW Indiana or perhaps a chemical plant or refinery around Joliet. What thinks all of you????
