Harry unless they changed them 644 is or at least was the south side unit, 645 was for downtown and the west side, and 646 was for the north side. As you know there have been changes with some of the special units over the last few years so I can’t guarantee the accuracy of this.
An example is that the Fire Investigator Units were together with Engine 38 at 3949 W 16th. Over the last 2 years they were decentralized. Now 469 is at Engine 22, 467 is with Engine 107, 468 is with Engine 63, and the supervising investigator 466 is at Engine 84.

what area is this one assigned to north south or in between because I know at ohare it is always the same number every time
