Pretty close but THE oldest should be the 1975 Mack MB deluge wagon (6-7-1), but I’m not sure if the rig’s still in service. Last time it was used during the 5-11 early last year.

So it may very well be the oldest apparatus in CFD fleet or at least a close runner up?

Crabby, Its a 1982 Seagrave 1500/0/85′ Shop# G-466. it was originally assigned to Snorkel Co. 1 then was reassigned as Squad Co. 1A then finally becoming the reserve snorkel.

The Seagrave/Pierce 85-ft 1500/300 snorkel-quint was placed into service as Snorkel 1 at Engine 18 in 1982 when one snorkel was assigned to each of the six districts. Then it was relocated to E5 and became Squad 1-A in 1983 when the three two-piece squad companies were established. And then it became Snorkel 1 again and was moved to E112 in 1987 when the two Spartan/E-One 55-ft snorkel squads were placed into service with SQD1 & SQD2.

Late 70’s early 80’s. It was an in service snorkle company for a couple years then those companies were taken out of service and with this one being a brand new apparatus it was made an as needed only company which another company would bring to the scene when special called.
