This from Chi-Town Fire Photos;

Here is a shot of Stickney Fire Department’s new Truck 1204. It’s a 2025 Pierce Enforcer, 107’ Ascendant PUC aerial. 1500-GPM with a 500-gallon water tank. Job #41088. Should be in service in about a month or so. This replaced a 1997 Spartan/3D/AI aerial ladder.

One person is dead and two others are injured following a fire at the Gas-N-Wash gas station in the 3800 block of South Cicero in Stickney around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

“One of the victims was out of the RV in front of the store. The other one was close to the car wash at that point. After interviewing him, we heard there was a third victim and that he did not make it out,” said Stickney Fire Chief Jeff Boyajian.

New truck for Stickney FD

From the Stickney Fire Department:

“Last evening the villagebvoard unanimously approved the purchase of a new Pierce Ascendent quint. This apparatus will replace the 25-year-old quint taken out of service at this time last year. This piece of equipment will last 20-25 years.”

The 107’ single-axle Ascendant quint will have an Enforcer cab & chassis with a 1500-GPM PUC pump. 12-24 months for delivery.

Stickney’s previous truck, the 1997 Spartan/3D/LTI was sold to a private collector out of Missouri.

Working fire in Stickney, 9-6-21

Stickney had a working fire Monday night at 7053 w 40th street. First Engine lead out a 2.5” and a 1.75” line right away on a large rubbish pile that got a 20×20 frame garage going a little. A Forest View engine and trucks from Central Stickney & Berwyn were auto aid.
