This from Josh Boyajian:
Today, we had our first open house in many years. Many of our members put a lot of hard work into putting this on. We had numerous booths that people could visit along with a complementary hot dog and chips. We also did an auto extrication demo, fire extinguisher demo, and lastly a side by side live burn demo. I attached numerous photos from the event.

Companies arrived on scene with smoke showing from a 1.5 story ordinary dwelling. Engine 1201 made an aggressive interior attack encountering fire in the attic. Two lines were stretched, one was utilized in extinguishing the fire. The roof was opened and companies worked on scene for about an hour and a half before they were returned to quarters. Companies on scene: Stickney Engines 1201 & 1203, Stickney Truck 1204, Forest View Engine 813, Central Stickney T906, and several Stickney Chiefs.-Drew Gresik

This from Eric Haak:
Here are some images of a garage fire in Central Stickney Tuesday morning (5/31). I was on my way to work and saw the smoke. Address was on the 4700 block of Lockwood. The home next to the garage was involved as well but was saved largely due to the small addition that was a buffer between the actual house. The house did have some fire in the attic space.
