This from Larry Shapiro:
Arlington Heights firefighters were notified of smoke coming from a house at 127 N. Evanston Avenue Thursday evening (3/17/16). First arriving units had smoke coming from the split-level house in a cul-de-sac, and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 working fire which brought additional Arlington Heights units plus a truck from Mount Prospect and an engine from Prospect Heights.
Companies were able to extinguish the attic fire by gaining access through a scuttle and had the fire out within 20 minutes.

The FORD EXPLORER has sure become a popular police and fire vehicle since the FORD CROWN VICTORIA was discontinued. I see them all over the place around here.
Sadly, we seem to be moving away from the traditional bigger sedan and toward the smaller SUV and crossover. Not saying they’re bad but you can’t argue with the market.
