Here is a pic of the construction progress of the replacement for Kenosha Station 4. It is located directly next door to the current station and will be much larger. The admin offices which were previously at Station 4 have been torn down and relocated to their former Station 3.
Also here are a couple of pics of Battalion 1’s new F150 buggy and the “old” Truck 4. I’m not sure where the new Truck 4 is at.Keith

A special thanks to Fire Chief Puknaitis, Deputy Chief Scheller, Fleet Services Project Manager Tracy Rulo, & the Naperville FD apparatus committee on their purchase of a 2021 E-One e-Max squad. This unit was highly customized and built to handle Naperville’s large footprint. With over 38 square miles and a population of over 148,000, this unit will surely get a workout. We appreciate the continued business from this excellent customer.

Wheeling firefighters were assisted by several departments after fire broke out at the Olde Court Inn Motel at 374 N. Milwaukee Avenue Sunday night 8-22-21. Arriving companies reported smoke from several rooms on arrival.

The Boone County Local Emergency Planning Committee is hosting its annual Lunch and Learn next month to focus on responding to a large chemical fire.
The lunch will be on Tuesday, Sep. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Community Building Complex on 111 W. First St. in Belvidere.
Rockton Fire Department Fire Chief Kirk Wilson, along with Boone County EMA Coordinator Dan Zaacard and Rockford Fire Department Division Chief Michele Pankow will go into detail about the response to the chemical fire in Rockton. They will also discuss how residents can prepare for this kind of emergency in the future.
The lunch is free, but a reservation is required to attend.
