This from Martin Nowak:
Car vs. Car
About 3 P.M today (9/5/2012), I heard the CFD responding, so I looked where they went and decided to check it out. What I found was a driver hit a street pole then drove into another car. Above ground power lines that were connected to the pole were on the ground. The driver ran off before the CFD arrived. No word if he/she was injured, but the driver air bag was deployed. Right when I finished taking pictures, Truck 36 left and Ambulance 3 stayed behind. The CPD was not on scene yet. The streets were Kedzie Avenue and Thomas Street.

Steve Redick took in a small fire today on the city’s Northwest Side in the 6500 block of Onarga and sent a few shots including Trucks 9 & 55 at the scene. Truck 9 has a 2010 Spartan/Crimson aerial and Truck 55 has a 2002 Pierce Dash. He reports that the fire originated in the basement and started to extend up
