Another installment on the history of turret wagons in the Chicago Fire Department from Jack Connors. Images depict the 1976 Mack MB turret wagon that was assigned as 6-7-5 and 6-7-1.

6-7-6 went to work with both turrets at the 5-11 ruins on W. Nelson in September of 2012 in an apparent attempt to facilitate the collapse of the building walls. Larry Shapiro photo

This picture of 674 was at a 5-11 on Grand and Austin. This unit was destroyed one night later at a 5-11 and 5 specials at 37th and Iron Street when a wall fell on it. This was never replaced as far as I know. Gordon J. Nord, Jr. photo
