This from Josh Boyajian:
LaGrange Park had a box alarm this afternoon, it looked like they had a power line fall and caught a house and a garage across the street from each other on fire. There was mutual aid from all over including a new battalion buggy from Tri-State and Bellwood’s new tower ladder. I took a few pictures but all the fire was knocked.
The LaGange Patch wrote:
The La Grange Park Fire Department was called out at 3:24 p.m. July 24 to a house fire at 1401 Newbury. The fire was out within 25 minutes
Departments from La Grange; Oak Brook, North Riverside; Pleasantview; Bellwood; Hinsdale; and Westmont were in the scene.

This from Tom Podraza
This was posted to a Police car group I belong to also..Doug, who works at an auto salvage yard in Aurora was contacted by Bellwood FD about disposing of the truck.“We got a call at the yard today – Bellwood FD is looking to sell / scrap one of their trucks. Too big for us to process but I got the info in hopes someone would want to save it. This is a fully operational unit; they just received a grant for a new one. It needs to be gone in 3-4 weeks, but they may be able to work short term storage with a buyer.1986 Grumman ladder truck with a 102 foot ladder and 1500 gpm pump.
They’ve been quoted $6K-$8k scrap value, but can’t find anyone who can take it.I was told it can go to anyone, but not back into fire service. Not sure why. May be a condition of the grant?”
