Fire service news

Excerpts from fordauthority.com:

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the automotive world has faced all sorts of struggles related to producing vehicles, chiefly because of various supply chain constraints. However, this is also true not only of the individual parts that are used to build new vehicles, but also the ones used to repair them, with some facing wait times of months and even years for their vehicles to be fixed. A fire department in Abington, Massachusetts found this out the hard way recently when their Ford F-550 ambulance was in need of a new engine, but it isn’t alone in that regard, as the Hingham Fire Department – also in Massachusetts – is also facing issues with its own Ford F-550 ambulance.

We’ll have more on Ford’s supply chain issues soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series newsFord Super Duty news, and continuous Ford news coverage.

Loves Park FD squad truck for sale

Found at goveals.com

1995 Chevrolet P30 FORWARD CONTROL, 5.7L V8 OHV 16V.

“AS IS” Dive Van. Mileage is our best guess based on maintenance records. Brakes need to be replaced. Needs new battery. Runs and drives, but currently needs to be jumped each time and the brakes are soft. This may need to be towed or trailered to the buyers location due to brakes needing work. Carbureted engine. Tires and rims are in good condition. The body has some minor defects and corrosion at some seams. Overall this rig looks pretty good for it’s age. This unit has been stored indoors for several years.

Some notable items included… -E-Q2B Federal Signal Siren -All emergency lights (most are LED) -Passenger side roll out awning -Built in storage in back

We are removing the Motorola radio prior to sale and all graphics that identify this unit as Loves Park Fire Dept.

Buyer is responsible for removing the van from Loves Park and transporting the van to its end destination.
