Garage fire in Oak Park, 10-6-15

Oak Park had a garage fire this afternoon at 1113 s Taylor. I didn’t make it in for anything good but here are some rigs shots of both of their front line engines 602 & 603, their new tower ladder 631, and their new buggy 620.

Fatal fire in Arlington Heights 10-6-15

A blaze started around 1:55 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Waverly Court in Arlington Heights, Fire Chief Ken Koeppen told reporters on the scene and one man died while two others were taken to local hospitals.

The fire was contained to the home’s hallway and was brought under control in about 10 minutes.

Tuesday morning, ~~first responders~~ firefighters wheeled out a stretcher that appeared to hold the body of the victim. The brown split-level house in a quiet cul-de-sac on the north side of the village was bordered by yellow police tape.
