The Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue District has been added to the site. Bill Friedrich submitted images of the stations and apparatus. The new department went ‘live’ earlier this year with two stations, full-time personnel, and apparatus which is both new and used. The new apparatus includes two Medtec ambulances, and an engine plus two tankers on IHC 4400 chassis from Alexis. Used apparatus includes an ambulance from the Morrison Hospital, a small rescue from Rock Island, and engines from North Park and Bartlett.

Ambulances at Station 1 include a new Medtec Type I and a used Medtec Type III. Bill Friedrich photo

Station 1 is located at 40W361 Route 64 in St. Charles. Bill Friedrich photo

FF/PM571, I believe you are correct. North Palos FPD never owned any Alexis apparatus. They currently have an early 90’s Spartan/FMC engine (ex- Worth FD) and a ’87 Spartan/E-One engine (last of twins) both of which in reserve.

In addition, any sign of the ex-Bartlett Seagrave or the ex-Lakewood/Arlington Heights Pierce? The Seagrave was delivered prior to the department starting and was reported to be in the process of being repainted. As far as the Pierce, that was acquired sometime in the summer and also was supposed to enter service as a spare.

the Seagrave has been photographed and should be added to the site within the next few weeks
