Waukegan Box Alarm 5-4-11

Waukegan firefighters had their hands full early this morning with multiple calls and a fire at an abandoned Salvation Army building on Sheridan Road. The large building was totally consumed and a fire wall held the fire from communicating to the neighboring buildings. Articles are HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.

An aerial ladder from Waukegan and tower ladders from North Chicago and the Great Lakes Training Center deployed elevated master streams in addition to multiple hand lines. Tim Olk and Jeff Rudolph both took in the fire and have images to submit later n the day.
