This from Eric Haak:
The Roberts Park Fire Protection District had an apartment fire that came in around 2:00 Saturday afternoon (8/4). With summertime Chicago traffic, it took me an hour to arrive just to give a perspective of time. Most of the firefighting was over so here are some images of rig placement at the incident. The alarm went to a 4-11 with an EMS Plan I and an appearance of the Chicago Fire Department’s Engine 64, Truck 31, Ambulance 77, and Battalion 15.

I assume that Ladder 31 is oos again since engine 31 was at this fire.

Chicago ridge and oak lawn have quints instead of true trucks because they shared the same brainless chief. Oak lawn got a FEMA grant for a brand new ladder and within 2 years their old chief working with the village manager sold that and bought a quint because it can do the same job. Even though they went from a100’ ladder to 75. CR sold their tower ladder for that quint. In oak lawns case they lost an entire company because of this.

The Hometown fleet feature dark yellow stripes that are a tie back to the years when the department ran yellow apparatus. (R Model and MC Model Mack Pumpers)

Chicago Ridge was there with their quint. Oak Lawn was there with their quint. Interesting that those towns have gone to quints in the last several years.

That orange stripe on 466 is a nice change from the usual white.
