CFD Engine 109’s new house construction update

Dan McInerney visited the construction site this week for Engine 109’s new house and submitted several images documenting the progress.

I stopped by the current Eng109 / Trk 32 house today and was informed that they are officially moving into their new quarters this Wednesday.

They have been talking few years back about having Battalion 14 move in with Engine 109, Truck 32 and Ambulance 34 when their new quarters opens, however, until it actually happens it is only speculation.
From a geographical point of view it would make perfect sense as Engine 109 is more centrally located in the 14th Battalions area then their present location at Engine 107’s quarters. Battalion 14 had been located with Engine 38 and Truck 48 however when they opened their present quarters in January of 2005, they had decided to relocate District and Deputy District 4 into Engine 38’s new quarters and they relocated Battalion 14 to Engne 107 instead as the CFD prefers not to have more then one type of Chief quartered at the same station.

Is Battalion 14 moving to 109’s when the new house opens?

Engine 109 and Truck 32’s new house is complete and they will be moving in next week.
