Evanston struck a 2nd alarm on Sunday for a fire at North Shore Towing that involved junk cars and tires. Tim Olk was at the scene and submitted several images.
Due to all the grease, oil, and other fluids, everyone needs new gear and the hose was left there

This from Eric Haak:
The Robbins Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a structure fire at 3702 W. 139th Street Sunday afternoon. Robbins units arrived on scene at 1308hrs and confirmed a working fire in an old 2-story frame at the back of a bar’s property. Command requested a MABAS 22 Full Still on Box #2909. Companies went defensive from the start due to the dilapidated condition of the building and a special call was put in for Crestwood’s Truck and a MABAS Canteen. At approximately 1700hrs, companies were called back for a rekindle. Units on scene were Robbins Tower Ladder 4, Robbins Engines 2913 and 2943 and Garden Homes Engine 2543. Midlothian Engine 2723 was brought in to help clean up hot spots from the opposite side of Robbins’ Tower Ladder.

This from Scott Peterson:
Occurred today approx 1030hrs @ 21 S Hi Lusi Ave. Tower 13 first on scene found hvy smoke conditions, upgraded to a Code 4 (no Eng 13). Hvy fire on the 2nd flr of the 1-1/2sty cape cod. Just as I arrived, co’s did an evacuation due to a floor collapse on the 2nd flr. Crews went defensive for a few minutes, knocked it down and went back interior. Couldn’t get around to the rear due to the fact that just about everyone’s yards had large fences, but there is a large bump-out addition on the 2nd flr rear. Cos on the fire auto-aid to the Code 4 level were, AHTS Tower 1, DESP Eng & Batt Chief, EGRT Eng 11. ROLM Eng & GLVW Eng C/Q.Good job by all!Scott
