House fire in Oak Park, 4-7-25

On 4/7/24 the Oak Park Fire Department responded to a structure fire. The battalion chief that arrived and reported heavy fire showing. There were no injuries. The fire started on the second floor and spread to the attic when the homeowners were not home. The Oak Park Fire Department received mutual aid from Forest Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Cicero, North Riverside, and they got a COQ Engine from Maywood.

House fire in Oak Park, 12-22-21

Oak Park companies were dispatched last night shortly before 10pm for a house fire at 604 N. Grove in Oak Park. Companies arrived to find fire on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a 2.5-story frame single-family house. Two lines were pulled off of Oak Park E602 to the 2nd and 3rd floor, while a 3rd line was used to hit hot spots on the exterior of the house. Companies worked for approximately 2 hours. All occupants, their dogs and cat made it out safely. 

Companies on scene: Oak Park E602, E603, T631, A611, A612, Bn3, Forest Park E401 and Cicero H&L 2.

Oak Park house fire 2-5-12

Oak Park firefighters responded to a house fire this morning at 1110 Taylor. A neighbor had called reporting smoke from the roof. Companies found a story and a half brick bungalow with smoke from the second floor rear. Basically a one-room fire which involved the attic and eaves. One line was used and a backup was pulled but not charged.

 

Tim Olk arrived at the scene after the fire had been knocked down and submitted a few images.
