New engine for Evanston

The new engine for Evanston Station 25 was mentioned HERE with a Pierce image. Larry Shapiro submitted a few images of the new engine since it’s been delivered.

113th & MichiganStill Time : 0918Battalion 22 & the group had a fire in Roseland today . 2-story ordinary 25 x 50 . BC22 reported heavy fire on the 2nd floor & fire in the cockloft . I arrived when the fire was under control . Thanks Dan Shevlin

At 0920 hrs, Sunday morning, Engine 62 reported a working fire at 11259 S. Michigan Avenue. Battalion 22 reported fire in the basement which eventually made it up through the second floor and into the cockloft of the 2-story apartment over commercial structure. Truck 62 was RIT. The MABAS 24 Task Force went into Morris for their flood today. Tinley Park, South Holland, East Hazel Crest, and Calumet City were responding. They met up at the Tinley Park Convention Center. Here are some shots.

Thrift store..over when I arrived. The area was devastated by major flooding..routing and access was very challenging for most units due to closures..Just got a few rig shots..I think there was a Bedford Park unit in the rear but I never made it around that way…Steve
Berwyn Still Alarm 4-17-13

This evening (4/17/13), the Berwyn Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Stanley Avenue and Grove Avenue. First arriving units reported heavy smoke showing from the roof of a 2 story building. The building has businesses on the 1st floor and apartments on the 2nd. 900 took Grove Avenue Command and reported 2 lines were being stretched for an interior attack. Truck 904 had the roof, and Quint 901 was in position for a master stream, but it was not used. Note the new Expedition assigned to Incident Command 900, and the new red and white LED light bar on Engine 902. Here are a few of my photos.Drew Gresik
