House fire in Des Plaines, 4-5-18

Thick, black smoke poured from the windows and doors of a Des Plaines home on Thacker Street and Warrington Road early Friday morning forcing two adults and a child out of the premises. 

Des Plaines firefighters from the Thacker Street station were first on the scene from the firehouse across the street.

  It amazes in my 40+ reading fire related stories how many big/major fires have occured within a block or closer of an occupied fire station.
