House fire in Buffalo Grove, 4-14-25

Firefighters from Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights were dispatched to 305 Timber Hill Road after 4PM on Monday (4/14/25) for a reported fire. Police officers arrived first and confirmed smoke and flames on the side of the house, and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 working fire. Arlington Heights Engine 4 was the first suppression unit at the scene and pulled a line initiating an attack and secured a hydrant. Buffalo Grove Tower 25 approached from the opposite direction and dropped 300′ of 5″ hose for their own supply. Two lines from Engine 4 and another from the tower were used as the fire spread into the attic.

The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. Additional companies at the scene came from Wheeling, Palatine, the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods and Long Grove fire districts plus change of quarters companies.

Townhouse fire in Schaumburg, 4-14-25

Schaumburg firefighters were dispatched for a reported structure fire at 1108 Regency Drive shortly before 2PM today (4/14/25). Engine 53 reported a visible header when they left the station a few blocks away and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 for the working fire. On arrival, they reported two townhouse units were fully involved. The structure contained eight units.

The fire was extinguished in under a half hour with no reported injuries. There was slight extension to the exposure units on either side.

Firefighters continue to battle a blaze Monday morning in southwest suburban Joliet, near the I-55 and Route 59 interchange after multiple departments responded to Rovanco Piping Systems, located at 20535 SE Frontage Rd., along the border of Joliet and Shorewood. The company manufactures pre-insulated diesel exhaust and fluid piping systems.

It’s not clear if anyone was inside the facility when the fire started, but so far no injuries have been reported.

Village of Mount Prospect annexed Elk Grove Township and aquired its equipment. This ambulance looks to be in good overall condition with minimal corrosion.

The vehicle drives, handles good, trans shifts correctly.

The compartments and ambulance body is in good shape. Little corrosion on two of the small cabinet doors.

Body has blemishes from removed decals that may be able to be buffed out.

Engine runs strong has a noise from the vacuum pump.

Has rear view camera and rear compartment camera.

Engine light is on

Engine codes PO299 Turbo Charger under boost.

PO620 generator control circuit.

P2285 injection control pressure circuit low.

P2287 injection control pressure sensor circuit intermittent.

Tires are in good shape. Truck was taken out of service and has been stored since 12-31-23.

House fire in Oak Park, 4-7-25

On 4/7/24 the Oak Park Fire Department responded to a structure fire. The battalion chief that arrived and reported heavy fire showing. There were no injuries. The fire started on the second floor and spread to the attic when the homeowners were not home. The Oak Park Fire Department received mutual aid from Forest Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Cicero, North Riverside, and they got a COQ Engine from Maywood.
