Could this be 4 wheel drive?

To me the QUANTUM was on the ugly side but certainly popular for many years. The ARROW XT had a cab that was decades old so really no surprise. PIERCE had way too much duplication and overlap. The IMPEL and VELOCITY are pretty much the same with different engine options. I could see them dropping one of those.

They were also popular in the northwest suburbs, but most had moved on from them already. I was talking with someone about the Quantum a while back, and we found they were doing less than two dozen per year lately.
Given their long lead time right now, and the supply issues in general, I think it makes sense for them to cut down on models. Pierce also generates a lot of quality discussion, and a focus on fewer models might help them improve quality.
Especially considering that the Velocity and Impel and then the Enforcer and Saber are very similar because two of them are really more budget-oriented versions of the main cab/chassis. Since the Enforcer now has the larger frame rails, they probably saw the Enforcer and Arrow XT as similar and wanted to consolidate them. My guess is that they’ll direct those who ordered the Arrow XT to the Enforcer, and those who ordered the Quantum to the Impel or Velocity with the air-articulated steps.

While nothing official has come from Pierce, the Quantum and Arrow XT were removed from Pierces website within the last few months and I’ve heard online that they’ve stopped taking orders for them. Same thing happened when the Dash CF was discontinued.

The quantum was big in the Phoenix area for many years and dominated the area. Surprised it’s discontinued

What’s the status on their new used squad.

Minneapolis FD has a Arrow XT tiller being built at Pierce right now. The majority of rigs are on the Enforcer chasis including a ladder for Indianapolis FD.

I know Pierce discontinued the Dash CF in 2020, when and why did they discontinue the Quantum and Arrow XT? Right now on Maqueen’s website the trucks that are currently in production are Enforcers, Impels and velocity rigs. This was the only Quantum in the group.

Harry, this is probably one of the last new ones you’re going to see in the area, since Pierce seemingly discontinued the Quantum (and Arrow XT)

Never a fan of the front wheel well design there must be a reason for it not matching the rear wheel well?????

Wow I have not seen a new quantum in years
