New apparatus they just got was a new brush truck, the old brush truck will become a utility. They just received Burbanks squad as the New Hazmat squad.

This is an old photo of ambulance 6. The new ambulance that just got posted is going to ambulance 1 then ambulance 4 will be next. The next engine will be engine 4 since Eng 2 and 3 got a new one already. I don’t know anything on the New Tower.

I understand they had a lot of problems with the Seagrave tower but it didn’t seem like Lockport was happy with Pierce either. There are some really good builders out there other than Pierce. For example, Sutphen, and E-One both make really high quality rigs.
What is Lockport going to do with the replacement of the 1999 Pierce ladder? Makes me wonder if they should buy two trucks since the 1999 will be nearly 30 years old by the time they get a replacement truck assuming they order it now.
I guess I would just like to see more departments explore what’s really out there. We are lucky to have so many different options and features on fire apparatus today!
My department has been doing some analysis for 2-3 years trying to determine weaknesses and strengths on specific brands. We have found both with and we keep going back to who is going to provide the best support after the rig is purchased.
When it’s all said and done, a strategic maintenance plan, and after purchase support are some of the most important things when taking the approach of long term lifespans of your fire apparatus.

Rich, either Engine 3 or engine 4 will be up next for replacement I assume.

They are going back to Pierce for the next engine.

Which engine is going to get replaced next and the bigger question is who is going to build it?

The Seagrave tower was at the factory in December but now it’s gone. Unknown where it went.

I am not positive but as far as I am aware the ladder truck that was in service before the towers is back in service again and the tower is out of service and possibly (not confirmed) at the factory. Yes, Lockport has 6 frontline ambulances, 5 frontline engines, 1 truck company, and multiple support and special apparatus. Rich, what is you question about the engines? Also anyone please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
