This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:
I took in this job @ 7142 s Vernon on the south side Wednesday. Fire in a 3-sty ordinary, with bad hoarder conditions. Companies attempted to make a push but were unsuccessful. Crews went defensive using point advantages on both side exposures, 2.5” lines in the rear, and Squad 5’s Snorkel. Engines 47 and 54 were both using their deck guns on arrival. 122 was on the C side in the alley. 63 was the 4th engine and was never put to work.

I just love those single axle E-One rear mounts. Chicago should re-visit those again during the bidding process. Boston seems to like them and just added a big order to their department. Plus, I saw that the first of two towers just started down the line. It’s #142015. Thanks, John.
