Joe, when did IL lose a Spartan dealer? EMC- Equipment Management Company in Channahon was a Spartan/ERV dealer the last I knew. That is who Urbana, IL just purchased theirs from.

That’s interesting. I’m not overly familiar with the builders dealership networks though I can think of a few in the region if hard pressed. But with the internet, do you even need a dealer a few miles away these days?
I know cars and light trucks are different than buses and fire trucks and how they are purchased but some people buy their cars online and have it delivered to their house.
Sure, you’ll always have traditional dealers but there may come a day where you’ll only go for service. Besides, most fire departments handle the service themselves.

They may have gone away from Spartan due to not having a Illinois dealer. I believe the last dealer EMA has closed shop.

They do look good. E-ONE is a solid builder but it does seem funny after all the years of SPARTAN based apparatus in CFD.

I agree the new TLs look sharp! Glad the CFD finally purchased new tower ladders! Anyone have any pictures of the new engines at the academy? Are the new engines in service? I am really not impressed with the ambo.

Gotta repeat myself, but the new TLs look just freakin sharp! The ambo below would be a different story…
