This from From Danny Nelms:
When I was leaving the city this morning I came across Tower 39 changing over to their new rig at the Academy
Also with a few other pictures I took down there

Those new tower ladders must be on warranty. E-One pays for all the damages and issues. Will they be able to repair those two tower ladders that broke down

The rubber mat attached to the back? If so that protects the couplings from banging off the rig when unloading hose

I heard through the grapevine, Tower 14 & 37 both got into accidents already with their new rigs. And supposedly TL37 is back in their HME

These are the oldest front line Towers. The Pierce from TL14 is going to TL34 and replacing the last of the 88eones. The TL from 37 and 39 will become spares along with the existing 88 eones.

– you’d think due to their age and they are coming off front line service without any issues they would become spares or replace older front line rigs.

Since the current spares are 85′ E-Ones with partially open cabs, unless the engine and hydraulics are blown, these are not, they become the top spares.

When a rig is replaced, who determines the old rig’s disposition? Scrap heap or reserve fleet?
